E' la fine di una lunga corsa? L'inizio di una nuova fase?
A 10 anni dall’esordio con “The Last Call”, dopo avere pubblicato 7 dischi, numerosi EP e tenuto centinaia di concerti in giro per l’Italia e l’Europa, i Lowlands fermano la loro carriera con una generosa raccolta e tre concerti.
Il doppio cd, pubblicato da Route 61 Music (39 i brani, tutti rimasterizzati), pesca non solo dalla discografia ufficiale ma anche dai tanti live radiofonici e da dischi tributo ad alcuni degli artisti preferiti da Edward Abbiati e dalla sua band (da Bruce Springsteen a Townes Van Zandt).
Sono stati aggiunti per l'occasione il primissimo demo della formazione pavese, datato 2005, ad alcuni inediti recentemente incisi in studio.
Questo progetto discografico intende mostrare l’evoluzione dei Lowlands nel tempo e consegnare ai fan un prodotto definitivo.
Un primo cd racconta la storia attraverso il meglio dagli album in studio, il secondo offre spazio a moltissime cover (da Johnny Cash ai Beatles, da Bob Dylan a Tom Waits, dai Waterboys ai Replacements).
Il booklet da 28 pagine contiene i test dei brani dei Lowlands, il commento di Edward Abbiati a tutte le tracce del doppio, fotografie e materiale storico riguardante la band

Is this the end of a long run? Perhaps the beginning of a new phase?
10 years after their "The Last Call" debut, and a track record which includes 7 albums, several EPs and hundreds of concerts throughout Italy and Europe, Lowlands put a stop on their career with a generous collection and three final concerts.
The double cd, published by Route 61 Music, (39 remastered tracks), contains handpicked songs from the official band discography and from many live radio broadcasts and tribute albums to which the band and Edward Abbiati contributed (from Bruce Springsteen to Townes Van Zandt).
Additional treats are the very first demo of the Pavia-based band, recorded back in 2005, and some recent unreleased studio recordings.
The album's goal is to showcase the evolution of Lowlands over time, and delever a definitive collection to all fans.
The first cd narrates the band's history through their best studio recordings, while the second cd brings out many cover songs (from Johnny Cash to the Beatles, from Bob Dylan to Tom Waits, from Waterboys to the Replacements).
The 28 page booklet contains Lowland song lyrics, a track-by-track comment to all tracks, photographs and other materials from the band's history.
